Reviews - Brief Description - Song Titles - Photo - Purchase CD - 2004 Performance Schedule - Bio New CD release - Please check back soon for reviews. "Fannie's Spittoon Race" is probably the most fun, tap your feet, kick up you heals and smile music we have released since Primordial Blues "Experiments In A Blues Realm". Songs vary with Folk, Bluegrass, Dixieland, Old Time Country and Jazz influences. Alternating between 6 string banjo and acoustic guitar, Zach is accompanied on this cd by exceptional musicians and friends - James Danielson (guitarist for blues/rock jam band, WOODSHED) on mandolin & acoustic guitar, and Mikael Jacobson (film composer & bass player for L.A. based THE HOT RODS) on double bass. There's twangy nasally vocals, incredible songwriting, fantastic musicianship and even a little scattin'. Recorded completely live, with no over dubs, in one day - what you hear at a live performance is what you get on this cd (with studio sound quality). Eleven all new original songs as well as a unique version of the traditional song "Big Rock Candy Mountain". It was fun to make and it is fun to listen too.
